Phalgun Nit Salahiye
Jis Nu Til Na Tamaye
A humble Tribute to Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj, offered by Babaji's direct disciple - Brig. Partap Singh Jaspal (Retd.). Guru Arjan Patshah in the above Hymn “Phalgun Nit Salahiye Jis Nu Til Na Tamaye” in Barah Mah describes “Jis Nu Til Na Tamaye” (who is above all greed) as the Divine Virtue of the Lord which supercedes all other virtues. In another hymn on Satguru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib again mentions this as the highest virtue for the Satguru. Then, for a Mahapurush, a Gurmukh, this is again the virtue which Sri Guru Granth Sahib says, is above all other virtues.
Above Greed to the Same Extent as God (Jis Nu Til Na Tamaye)
His blazing spirit of renunciation is beyond human comprehension. It remains unmatched till date and shall continue to so radiate for all times to come.
His luminous life, a life of total renunciation of everything worldly, a life of total selfless devotion and service of Sri Guru Granth Sahib as living Sri Guru Nanak Sahib, a life of total self effacement, of self abnegation, a life of total humility and compassion is in itself the holiest of the holy message for mankind.
Glory of God is sung as the one ‘Jis Noon Til Na Tamaey’ (sing the Glory of God who is above all greed).
Phalgun Nit Salahiai Jis Nu Til Na Tamaey
Sri Guru Granth Sahib, 136
No sage has appeared in the world to rival Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj as a Tyagi of that stature, above greed to the same extent as God.
Staring Kirtan with sacred hymns from Barah Mah sung by Sri Guru Arjan Patshah-
Jehwa Ek Anek Gun Tere Nanak Charni Paye
Phalgun Nit Salahiye Jis Nu Til Na Tamaye
Meethat Neeveen Nanaka Gun Changayaiyan Tatt
Guru Nanak Patshah says that Nimrata, Humility is the source (seed) of all the Divine Virtues.
As you may have already seen in our first video on Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj, the Greatest Divine Lover of Sri Guru Granth Sahib descends on Mother Earth in the garb of humility and starts spreading the Glory of Sri Guru Nanak Patshah, and Sri Guru Granth Sahib right from early childhood. Guru Nanak Patshah had Himself sent His divine lover, the love of His Lotus Feet, to this world.
Which are the Divine virtues as written in Sri Guru Granth Sahib that emanate from the seed of Humility?
Which are the Divine virtues which identify and define such a Divine Lover?
Kirtan 2 and Bachan 2:
Listen to the closing Hymns from the Barah Mah Path for the month of Phalgun:
“Jehwa Ek Anek Gun Tare Nanak Charni Paye
Phalgun Nit Salahiye Jis Nu Til Na Tamaye” -
Then listen to the meaning of these Holy Hymns uttered by Sri Guru Arjan Patshah.
Har Haar Kanth Jini Pehreya Gur Charni Chit Laye,
Tina Pichhe Ridh Sidh Phirey Ona Til Na Tamaye
Sri Guru Granth Sahib proclaims "Til Na Tamaye" (who is above all greed) as the Supreme (Highest) virtue of the Lord. Then, in separate hymns in the context of both, a Satguru, and a Mahapurakh (a Gurmukh) Sri Guru Granth Sahib again proclaim it to be their greatest, the Most Distinguished virtue.
Baba Narinder Singh Sahib said that in the sacred presence of Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj, we observed that the greatest virtue of Baba Nand Singh Sahib was that He was above greed to the same extent as God.
To illustrate this, Baba Narinder Singh Sahib then narrated a Saakhi. Once it so happened that Kirtan Darbar of Guru Nanak Patshah was in fool bloom at night in a far off jungle. A Mahatma who had heard about Baba Nand Singh Sahib came to visit the place. Listen to what happened there.
Listen to the Holy Kirtan as a humble tribute to Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj:
Ik Til Di Tama Na Rakhan Babey, Joy Oh Nooro Noor Hunde
Kadey Maya Nu Hath Na Laun Babey, Ene Beparwah Hazoor Hunde
Sui de Nakke Jinee sheh banai nahi apnai nahi
Aisi Khed Racha Gaye Ne Wah Wah Baba Nand Singh Ji
Koi Nishani Payee Nahi Bhore Tak vee Dhava Gaye Ne
Guru Granth De Naam Te Apna Naam Te Nishan Mita Gaye Ne
Bachan 4 (Saakhi):
Sacred Saakhi of the Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj: (also narrated in "Miracle of Holy Nam")
It was in Chotta Thaath after the ĎSamaptií of evening programme that Mahan Babaji got up from His Asan and took leave of the sangat in His characteristic humility. As Babaji came out, Father after picking up the cloth chappals of Mahan Babaji placed those in front of His holy feet. Mahan Babaji while putting His holy feet in the chappals placed His hand on one of the shoulders of father for support. Babajiís bare wrist happened to touch fatherís ear. An indescribable melody of ĎWaheguruí from each and every pore (rome) of Babajiís bare wrist struck fatherís ear and rushed deep into his soul giving him a sublime taste of Nam Ras.
Close physical proximity, Babajiís holy hand resting on fatherís shoulder, gentle bare forearm of Babaji touching fatherís left ear, melodious chanting of Waheguru issuing forth from every pore of Babajiís forearm sent father in maddening ecstasy. Embrosial Nam bursting forth from every pore of Babajiís Eternal Being got enshrined in fatherís heart and filled his whole being with spiritual joy. Father stumbled on his feet and was about to fall but Babaji kindly held him up.
Watch what happened thereafter ...
Bachan 5 (Saakhi):
On the Sacred Gurpurab of Sri Guru Nanak Patshah, Babaji was holding a Darbar in a Jungle. It was the day of PooranMashi and a lot of sangat had gathered. At the time of Ardas, listen to the Holy incident that took place.

Grace and unlimited wealth of the Immortal Nam on the
whole creation, all in the name of his most beloved Lord
Guru Nanak keeping Himself totally aloof and without
taking least credit for Himself. He was a mass of blessedness
and blessed the masses en-masse all in the name of
